JKTF expresses grief over demise of ReT teacher

SRINAGAR: A delegation of J&K Teachers Forum (JKTF) led by its Chairman and President EJAC Mohd Rafique Rather on Monday visited residence of bereaved family of Muneer Ahmad, a ReT teacher and expressed grief and shock over sudden and sudden death of Muneer Ahmad, who lost left for heavenly abode at his residence in Nowshera, Boniyar.
While expressing solidarity and sympathy with bereaved family, Rather said death is a colossal loss but we have to maintain our composure in such tragic and hard times. I, on behalf of teaching community and employees fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir, share pain and agony of family, he added. All the leaders prayed for eternal peace to departed soul and fortitude to the family to face this difficult time.
Meanwhile, Rather expressed resentment and displeasure against the unnecessary delay in regularization of ReT teachers. He said that deceased was appointed as in 2005 but despite rendering more than 10 years of service his regularisation process has been put at halt for unknown reasons. He urged the Director to investigate reason for unnecessary official delay and fix responsibility of the guilty. Regularisation to teachers should be issued without any further delay failing which there JKTF will be forced to hit streets to demand justice.
Rather while demanding immediate service benefits on compassion grounds to elder son of deceased, said that deceased had dedicated his entire life in teaching and has left his kith & kin without any source of income.
Others present on the occasion included Parvaiz Ahmad Provincial coordinator, Sheikh Manzoor VP Baramulla, Bhat Altaf, Ajaz Lone Tehsil President Uri, Nassir Ahmad Uri, Javid Ahmad Boniyar, Arif Ahmad Chandanwari, Javid Ahmad, Farooq Hussain Singhpora, Rohama Iqbal Ahmad, Gh Nabi and scores of teachers from Chandosa, Singhpora, Boniyaar, Chananwari, Uri and Jhulla.
