JAMMU: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) was held on Tuesday under leadership of its chairman Ganesh Khajuria, which was attended by more than three hundred office bearers from Arnia, Bishnah, Miran Sahib, R S Pura, Satwari and Gandhi Nagar zones besides Central, Provincial and District body members.During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held on numerous burning issues and long pending demands of the different cadres of teaching community, including holding DPC of all cadres. The members impressed upon the higher authorities to conduct DPC of class-IV to Lab Asstt. and Lib. Asstt., Lab Asstt. to Teacher, Teacher to Master, Master to Headmaster and lecturer in all streams. They also urged the Administrative Secretary School Education Department for regularisation of I/C Headmasters, Lecturers, Principals and other higher cadres.This meeting also demanded measures for filling-up of all vacant posts of DDOs including Headmasters, ZEOs and Principals as many of schools and offices are suffering a lot due to non-availability of the DDOs.The participants said that all employees of School Education Department have been placed in far below pay scale as compared to their counterparts in the rest of the country. The meeting demanded placing Teachers, Masters, Headmasters, Lecturers and Principals in pay scale at par with their counterparts in other Union Territories of country. Moreover, Masters and Teachers of J&K are struggling since last two decades for removal of pay anomalies as agreed by the previous Governments in written agreements with the central leadership of JKTF. They demanded for removal of pay anomalies of Masters and Teachers at the earliest.Others issues discussed on the occasion included repatriation of Masters and Lecturers from hard zones to home districts, creation of posts of Masters working under SSA, regularisation of Contingent Paid Workers, change in nomenclature of class-IV employees, regularisation of Data Entry Operators, conversion of employees under NPS to OPS, regularisation of pending ReTs etc.Eminent among those who attended the meeting included Ganesh Khajuria, Surat Singh Toofani, J A Agah, Darshan Sharma, Rajinder Gupta, Gopal Singh, Ravinder Singh, Raj Singh, Kuldeep Singh Bandral, Kuldeep Verma, Naresh Sharma, P D Singh, Gautam Singh, Sushil Sharma, Joginder Singh, Rajesh Singh Salathia, Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Dharam Pal Sharma, Ghulam Hassan Dar, Daya Krishan Sharma, Narinder Singh Chib, Subash Sharma, Jatinder Singh, Ashwani Sharma, Ashok Kharyal, Gagan Gupta, Raj Hussain, Ravinder Singh, Kailash Sharma, Gagan Deep Singh, Gurdev Singh, Ramandeep Sharma, Parveen Sharma, Bupesh Choudhary, Madan Lal, Ashok Chalotra, Gurbachan Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Jatinder Sharma, Romesh Khajuria, Vijay Kumar, Ajaib Singh, Ashwani Sharma, Ravi Kaith, Surinder Kaith and Manjeet Singh.
