JKPCC OBC Chairman takes stock of people’s grievances


UDHAMPUR: Acting on directions of President, Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Ghulam Ahmed Mir, the Chairman OBC Department of the party visited far flung areas of district Udhampur including Chenani, Latti and Dhuna, took stock of grievances being faced by OBC peoples and medical facilities available for residents of rural areas. He also distributed hand-made face masks among people and provided food to needy.
Adv Suresh Kumar Dogra said, “Continuing the tradition of Congress to help needy and poor, the OBC Deptt is working relentlessly for welfare of humanity.”
He further added as massive gatherings and functions were not allowed due to COVID-19, so the Congress activists were directed to frame small teams to reach out to masses in every nook and corner of region for taking stock of various medical facilities provided by the administration.
He further said that all grievances of people, observed by him during tour of far flung areas, would be brought into the notice of Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha for taking necessary measures to mitigate the same in pandemic situation. Som Nath Verma, Incharge OBC Kathua; Shukal Bamotra and Kanav also accompanied Dogra during the tour.
