AKHNOOR: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF), Block Chowki Choura Jammu organised a Dharna under the president ship of Ashok Kumar President JKMEF, Block Chowki Choura, Jammu to highlight the burning and genuine problems of medical employees who are fighting with the world wide pandemic Covid -19 .
“DPC of all the categories pending for the last four years which is supposed to be held twice in a year, despite of repeated representations and deputations nothing is done so far, For employees who are dealing with the Covid -19 are compelled to protest for their genuine demands. DPC Should be clear at par with the Govt. Medical College / Drug and Food Organization on the pattern of executive order passed by the administrative department till the SRO-20 is not amended” they said adding that those employees who lost their life while fighting Covid -19 are deprived from the compensation / insurance has announced by the UT Govt. which demoralized the spirit of the employees.
They also demanded release of pending salary of the Female Multi Purpose Health Workers which is due from the last 5months and they are facing starvations. Govt Pharmacists who could not registered them self before the revocation of 370 should be registered under New central Pharmacy Act 1948.
While addressing the Dharna Sushil Sudan, President JKMEF and Madan Lal Sr. Leader of JKME urged the UT Govt. to consider the demand of the medical employees at the earliest otherwise they were compelled to launch further strong course of action. Those who addressed the Dharna were Mahesh Sharma, J.P Singh, K.S Aarora, Krishan Lal ,Vijay Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Rekha Devi, Menakshi Shrama, Priya Chib, Menakshi, Pranab Wadhera, Raj Kumar, Manjeet Sharma and Varinder Gingh.
