JKGTF holds meeting, highlights issues

KATHUA: Jammu Kashmir Government Teachers Forum held a meeting of the teaching community under the chairmanship of its union territory general secretary S.Parveen Singh at Kathua. All the speakers in the meeting raised the burning issues of the teaching community like NPS, DPC, promotion in all streams, promotion of master to headmaster.
Parveen Singh appealed to the higher education authorities that all the vacant posts of headmaster should be fulfilled without any delay. He said that it has come to the notice of the forum that there are 42 posts of headmaster out of 105 are lying vacant in district kathua, 12 out of 43 in Samba, 40 out of 160 in Jammu, 51 out of 75 in Reasi, 35 out of 59 in Ramban, 27 out of 47 in Kishtwar. 56 out of 86 in Doda, 30 out of 73 in Poonch, 40 out of 113 in Rajori, 25 out of 107 in udhampur are lying vacant. All institutions are suffering and running as a headless school. He further appealed for the promotion list of headmaster to the authority and also to issue transfer orders for those who are serving in far furlong areas.
Those who attended the meeting were Surjeet Singh Jasrotia, Jagdish Chander, Tersem Lal, Sunil Sharma, Angrez Singh, Mohan Lal and Bishan Dass.
