JAMMU: Otherwise engaged in a battle against the clubs and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in the court of law awaiting a final judgement, the J&K Cricket Association (JKCA) has issued a fresh notice asking the district units to recommend players for T20 Tournament. Since the BCCI has been working on a plan to hold the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (T20) in the month of January, the present JKCA dispensation wants the J&K team take part in under its banner. As per the reports, the JKCA has asked the district units to send names of at least eight boys for selection process. However, as per the sources, the BCCI, who fights a court case against the JKCA CEO, may not allow the teams until the final court verdict. Important to mention here that the Chief Justice of J&K High Court, Gita Mittal was about to deliver the final judgement in the JKCA case. And, now, when the CJ has retired, the JKCA CEO has become active by means of announcing selection process.
