JK Public School Kunjwani organises virtual Hindi debate competition

JAMMU: JK Public School Kunjwani organized two days virtual Hindi Debate Competition for students of Classes IX to XII under the banner of Sahodaya Jammu Chapter.
The topic of the debate was ‘Sadan Ki Rai Main Naya Krishi Bill Kissanon Ke Liye Vardaan’ . A total of 46 participants from 23 top notched CBSE schools shall participate in the two-day competition. Whereas, on the first day, 24 participants spoke on the given topic.
Prof. Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu was the Chief Guest. The jury consisted of Vipin Malhotra, Senior Coordinator APS Ratnuchak; Shivane Koul, Middle Wing Coordinator DPS Udhampur and Neeru Chopra, PGT (B. Studies) MHAC Nagbani.
Dr. Kunal Anand, Secretary Sahodaya Jammu Chapter and principals of participating schools were also present among other dignitaries.
From JK Public School Kunjwani, Director JK Educational Society Shashi Chaudhary graced the occasion.
The programme started with welcome address by Principal JK Public School, Vandana Sharma.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Manoj Dhar in his inaugural address laid emphasis on the New Education Policy and its integration with higher education. His encouraging words for student community to rise to the challenges of 21st Century were quite needful at this challenging juncture of school life, when studies are going online.
He addressed the participants as global leaders of the world and expressed his best wishes to the school Principals.
Talented and budding orators spoke in favour and against the motion and debated enthusiastically.
The highlight of the event was refuting round. The session was Kaleidoscope of opinion, thoughts, ideas and perspective of youth. It was heartening to see young generation putting forward their point of view so fervently.
Dr Kunal Anand, Secretary Sahodaya expressed his gratitude to the Management. He congratulated the Principal and Team of JK Public School Kunjwani for successful conduct of the programme. He encouraged students by calling each and every participant a winner.
Vote of thanks was presented by Rajni Gupta, TGT Hindi.
The programme concluded with a soulful rendition of poetry by the Vice Principal JK Public School, Shashi Rattan, with a collage of today’s participants.
The second and concluding part of the debate will be conducted on January 10, 2021.
