JK Public School Kunjwani goes offline

JAMMU: It was the great trepidation that JK Public School took the decision of conducting pre-board examination of Class X and XII in the offline mode.
The school has allowed the students to choose between offline and online mode of examination.
Children, who had used to laid back routine at home, geared up after a positive counselling and motivation by the School Principal Vandana Sharma and the teachers.
This resulted in 68 offline consent which was a clear change of mindset of the Board Examinees!
The Management went a step forward to provide all necessary safety measures for successful conduct of offline examination.
In this regard, proper sanitisation drive was done in the campus keeping in view COVID guidelines issued by the CBSE and the State Government Advisory.
Physical distance of 6 feet was ensured while making seating plan in Examination Hall, at Entry and Dispersal points as well.
All students, staff, teachers among others went through thermal scanning at the entry and during frequent intervals of the day. Entry without mask was prohibited in the campus, whereas provision of extra supplies of masks, gloves and sanitising equipments was also kept in stock to avoid sharing of material during the examination.
Placards and standees displaying all COVID safety measures were placed at all vantage points. Hand and foot sanitisation was taken care of before entry to the Venue.
A regular announcement on Public Address System was done so as to update everybody on the common safety measures to be followed in spirit.
Keeping in mind, any case of emergency, a separate ‘Isolation Room’ was kept ready with Task Force and a Doctor.
The School Counsellor Yashu Jain was available for the consultation of students, in case they felt any kind of fear, anxiety or stress.
The confidence of the students was boosted by the whole exercise and it was heartening to see students following safety norms sincerely.
Post examination feedback received from parents and students gave a positive insight to the well preparedness of school for the conduct of examinations.
