Mendhar: On the directions of PHQ and SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral, Mendhar Police organized a rally ” Run for Unity” from Yadgar Chowk to Sangala Chowk and back to Police Station Mendhar in which people from Bopar Mandal Mendhar, media fraternity, respectable of area, students of GDC Mendhar and different schools, personnel from security forces, NCC cadets and Police personnel were participated.
In the race Aftar Ahmed from Govt. Higher Secondary School Mendhar, Anees Choudhary from GDC Mendhar and Arun Kumar Sharma from NCC cadet won 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes whereas Altaf Hussain, Zia -ul- Rehman, Inderpaul Singh and Mohd Khursheed gained consolation prize.
In the end of function, SDPO Mendhar Zaheer Abbas Jafri highlighted the services of police in maintaining law, ensuring order in the society and protecting sovereignty and integrity of the state and appealed participants to pay homage to martyrs.
