J&K Police blanks DFA Poonch in football

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Police made it an impressive 4-0 win against DFA Poonch in the ongoing 28th J&K Football Championship, organised by J&K Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College ground, here on Saturday.
In other scheduled match of the day, Young Rovers trounced Sports Council Football Academy (SCFA) XI 5-4 via tie-breaker. Earlier, the match ended in 1-1 draw in the stipulated time. The NGC XI continued their winning spree after they blanked DFA Reasi 5-0.
In today’s matches, Secretary, J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul visited the venue and interacted with the teams and office bearers of the JKFA. She was accompanied by officials of the JKSC, including Divisional Sports Officer, Ashok Singh.
Meanwhile, the Anantnag leg of the competition kick started today at Sports Stadium Anantnag. In the inaugural match, DFA Pulwama defeated DFA Shopian 4-1. Maqsood Ahmad Khan of JKSC was the Chief Guest while Bashir Ahmad was guest of honour.
