JAMMU: Senior leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu & Kashmir led by its J&K President Ravinder Raina paid tributes to Rakesh Pandit in a “Shradhanjali Sabha” organized at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here on Friday.J&K BJP General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, Former Dy. Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, former MLC & BJP General Secretary Adv. Vibodh Gupta, former Minister & BJP General Secretary Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, BJP Headquarter Incharge Priya Sethi, former MLC & Prabhari Kashmiri Displaced District Girdhari Lal Raina, Incharge South Kashmir Veer Saraf, District President Chand Bhat and Rakesh Koul spoke on the occasion while giving tributes to the departed soul.BJP Vice-Presidents Yudhvir Sethi & S. Varinderjit Singh, former MLC Vikram Randhawa, Munish Sharma, Rashpaul Verma, Pramod Kapahi, Sanjay Baru, Arvind Gupta, Prabhat Singh, Tilak Raj Gupta, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Prof. Kulbhushan Mohtra, Shivan Pandit, Rahul Koul, Dolly Raina, Veshnath, Bitu, Pyare Lal, Ravi Mantoo, Rajiv Pandita, H K Razdan, Saarthak, Gian, Neena Gurtoo, Sunny Tickoo and others were amongst the prominent leaders present on the occasion.Ravinder Raina, while giving tributes to the departed soul, termed Rakesh Pandit as a lion dedicated to his task. He said that the Pandit was always determined to lead from the front.He worked hard amongst the people of Tral and gained their confidence. As soon as he assumed the post as Chairman of the Municipal Committee, Tral, his sole aim was the development of the area and the welfare of the people.Raina further said that as a staunch BJP worker he always stood strong for Tiranga, Nationalism and development. Pandit symbolized valour and dedication and his absence today in this manner did hurt us lot.He said that the Nationalist forces are always targeted by terrorists acting on behalf of Pakistan but we should not get demoralized and our struggle must continue with more vigour.Ashok Kaul said that these barbaric acts are targeted to set in a fear psychosis amongst the Nationalist people and the trend is to disrupt the peace and progress process right from Bengal to Kashmir and other places. He said at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trying to bring about development and growth in Nation, some anti-National forces are continuously targeting the innocents, which is not to be tolerated at any level.Kavinder Gupta said that targeting Nationalist leaders in J&K cannot silence the Nationalist voice in J&K. He said that terrorists’ vicious and heinous plan to thwart democracy in the Jammu & Kashmir will fail miserably.Vibodh Gupta said that terrorists will never succeed in their nefarious designs and those responsible for such heinous acts shall be brought to justice.Dr. Manyal said that these acts of violence cannot deter the sane voices of the region and prayed for the Moksha to the departed soul.Priya Sethi said that in this tough hour the whole of BJP stands with the bereaved family.
