J&K ANTF nabs two narcotic smugglers with 11 Kg Hashish



JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Anti Narcotic Task Force (J&K ANTF) on Wednesday arrested two smugglers with contraband of cannabis (Hashish) from a truck here on city outskirts.
SSP ANTF Vinay Sharma here said that the team received an information from reliable sources that some consignment of Narcotics is being transported from Kashmir to Jammu in a truck bearing registration No JKO2CA-2660, adding, “the team swung into action and laid Nakas at various places and successfully intercepted the truck at Narwal ByPass Jammu.”
During checking, the SSP said that 11 Kgs of Hashish has been recovered and two persons namely Kabir Hussain, son of Mohd Khurshid and Sabir Hussain, son of Nazir Hussain, both residents of Kalakot, district Rajouri have been arrested.
A case in this regard has been registered under relevant Sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and further investigation started.
SSP Vinay appealed general public for cooperation in their campaign against drug dealers to eradicate this menace from society.
