JAMMU: Member Indian Cricket Association and former Ranji player of J&K, Rajesh Gill flagged off Jammu Vishal U-17 Cricket Team for participating in the Christmas Cricket Premier League for Under-17 boys (40 overs game) which shall be commenced from December 21, 2020 at Mohali.The Jammu Team will play four league matches of 40 overs game with the three different cricket teams which includes United Cricket Academy Fatehgarh, Champions Cricket Academy Chandigarh and Cricket Bash Academy Panchkula.Rajesh Gill said that the aim of the senior cricketers of Jammu & Kashmir and Members of Indian Cricket Association is to promote the cricket and cricketers of J&K. He also advised the supporting staff and the mentor not to allow any player to visit any other place or market for any shopping etc. Rajesh Gill further announced that if situation allows more cricket exposure tours for our cricketers will be organized in collaboration with the other state members of the Indian Cricket Association.Others present were Kuldeep Raj (ex-MLA Hiranagar), Madan Mohan, Sanjeev Mahajan, Amit Sharma and Javeer Singh.Avinash Uttam Cricket promoter will accompany the team as Mentor of the team, Ankush Sharma will be the Coach whereas Davinder Sharma, Rajinder Sharma and Raj Singh Khadyal will act as Managers in the supporting staff.The members of the Jammu Vishals Under-17 Cricket Team were selected from three districts namely Jammu, Samba & Kathua.The Team: Rohan Gill (Captain), Achintiya Khajuria (Vice Captain), Arnav Gupta, Shouraya Sharma, Vansh Khadyal, Danish Gupta, Arman Sharma, Krishana Sharma, Sarvan Gupta, Dhruv Gupta, Kinshuk Mahajan, Jahanveer Singh, Vansh Sharma and Sachin.
