JAMMU: Jammu Vishal Cricket Club defeated United Cricket Academy by five wickets in the inaugural match of the Under-17 Christmas Cricket Championship played at Landran Cricket Ground (Kharar), Mohali.
As per report reaching here, United Cricket Academy Fatehgarh batting first after winning the toss scored 213 runs for the loss of ten wickets in 38.1 overs.
Saksham Singla scored was the top scorer with 84 runs studded with 12 boundaries and a six while Harshal Gupta scored 39 runs. For Vishal Club, Krishana Sharma and Arnav Gupta grabbed three wickets each while Sachin took two.
In reply, Vishal Club chased the target in 30 overs for the loss of five wickets.
Rohan Gill played a fine inning of 56 runs with the help of eight boundaries and a six. Jaanveer Singh (38) and Dhruv Sharma (32) were the other main scorers.
For United Cricket Academy, Manas Gupta claimed two wickets while Kavish Verma took one.
Arnav Gupta of Jammu Vishal Cricket Club declared as Man of the Match.
