UDHAMPUR: Jal Shakti (PHE) Employees and workers Association held a protest at PHE Complex Udhampur in which a large number of employees and workers drawn from Chenani, Kud, Patnitop, Sudhmahadev, Barmeen, Gholdi, Ramnagar, Dehari, Kaghote, Majalta, Khoon, Mansar, Manwal, Panchari, Bhomag, Jib Thathi, Tikri, Grahi Rehmble participated under the chairmanship of Som Nath Distt. President Jal Shakti (PHE) Employee Association and NPP Trade Union Vice President J&K UT.Employees shouted slogans in favour of their demand. Somnath appealed to the LG Manoj Sinha to solve the issues like regularization policy, minimum wages act and pending wages. Pertinent to mention here that a meeting which was also held between the leaders of the United Front and LG on Nov 11, 2020 in which LG assured the leaders to solve their issues within 15th January 2021. On the assurance of the LG the United Front defers the strike. They urged LG to solve these issues as early as possible otherwise the employees will go for indefinite strike. The wages from October 2020 is still pending upto date and clear the three months wages before Lahori festival.Other who spoke on the occasion include Vijay Kumar, Suraj Parkash, Dinesh Kesar, Krishan Chand, Balbir Singh, Baldev Raj, Makhan Chand, Ganesh Chand, Govind Ram, Rajinder Sharma, Kuldeep, Parath Singh, Vidya Ram and Prem Nath.
