JAMMU: Indian Youth Congress (IYC) launched ‘Call for Youth in politics’ campaign to provide a platform to youth for coming forwards, speaking and becoming a part of IYC. The campaign was launched in presence of IYC Secretary (Incharge J&K) Jagdev Gaga, JKPYC President Uday Bhanu Chib, State Spokesperson Dr Jahanzaib Sirwal and other leaders.
Jagdev Gaga, while addressing media, said that Congress believes that ‘Empowered Youth is Empowered India’. “We have launched such campaigns in past also & received great results. Youth from across the country have participated in such programmes and are now a part of IYC,” he added.
While speaking on the occasion, Uday Bhanu Chib said that Youth Congress is always ready to provide platform to youth having non-political background. “At a time, when country is passing through a difficult phase, it is need of the hour that youth should come forward & raise their voice,” he asserted.
Dr Jahanzaib Sirwal said that Congress has been time and again raising issues to remind the Government about promises it had made with people before coming to power, which it has forgotten.
Now Youth Congress had taken the initiative to make Voice of Youth heard by providing a platform to them, he added.
