ISJK commander arrested from Jhajjar Kotli with pistol, Rs 1 lakh cash



JAMMU: Averting a major terror strike, the joint team of Special Operation Group(SOG) and Jammu Police arrested one terrorist of the listed terror outfit, Islamic State of Jammu and Kashmir(ISJK), with one Chinese made pistol, 8 rounds and Rs 1 lakh 13 thousand cash.
On the basis of specific input, police laid a naka at Jhajjar Kotli on Sunday evening. During checking of vehicles, one person tried to flee from the spot. Police teams chased him and recovered one pistol, 8 rounds and cash from his bag.
During enquiry, the accused was identified as Malik Umaid alias Abdullah, son of Abdul Rashid Malik, resident of Yaripora, Kulgam who had received a delivery of weapon and cash to further carry out terror strike in J&K UT.
FIR 53/2021 under section 13,17,20 & 23 ULA(P) Act has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli. During initial investigation, it has been found that arrested terrorist was in touch with more operatives of ISJK module. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
