International webinar on ‘Career Opportunities in Science & Technology’ organised

AKHNOOR: An international webinar live from USA was organised for the students of border area (ALC) on the topic “Career Opportunities in Science & Technology” on Sunday.
The function started with tribute to the brave soldiers of our soil who laid down their lives in the Pulwama attack. The webinar was organized by Evergreen Public High School, Pallanwala, J&K.
Managing Director of the school, Kuldeep Singh welcomed the chief guest Prof. Dr. Nutan K. Resutra, former Principal of Govt. Degree Colleges, Resource person of the webinar Dr. Vishal Sharma, Maj. Dr. Karan Singh, Guest of Honor, Co-coordinator Suraj Singh, Asstt. Co-coordinator InamulHaqWani Professor Physics MAM PG college, Jammu Aman Sharma Media Coordinator and other dignitaries present on the occasion.
Resource person, Dr. Vishal Sharma Fulbright climate fellow, NREL USA and Global goals Ambassador United Nations (UN) association of USA. Knowledge Hub Coordinator, Association of commonwealth universities, UK apprised the students of the border area about scientific innovations and various career opportunities available to them within the contrary and abroad. He delivered the lecture in his mother language Dogri and motivated the students to opt for science subjects to serve the country in a better way.
Dr. Nutan K. Resutra, Chief Guest of the webinar and former Principal Govt. Degree colleges also take part in the live webinar and motivate the students with his valuable speech about the development in science and technology.
Prof. Dr. Karan Singh of Govt. MAM PG College, who is also holding the rank of Major in Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh, NCC Directorate, while interacting with the students talked about the menace of terrorism and a workshop to train students how to fight terrorism with the latest scientific technology.
Suraj Singh, Ex lecturer, School education department also expressed his thoughts and scientific development and its applications for humanity.
Others who were also present on the occasion were Mrs. Geeta Devi Sarpanch Border village Pallanwala, Ex Sub Maj. Balbir Singh, Sh Joginder Singh, Rekha Bhau, Principal and Staff of Ever Green Public High School Pallanwala, and others dignitaries of the border village Khour. The whole function was Co-ordinated by Prof InamulHaqWani.
Function concluded with a vote of thanks by Miss Abilasha, Teacher and Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, Co-ordinator of Evergreen Public High School, Pallanwala.
