JAMMU: IIM Jammu has become one of the partners out of the nine IIMs for Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship (MGNF) under SANKALP, MSDE.
The national rollout of the fellowship was done by Union Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) during the inauguration of “Transforming Skill through Strategic Partnership under SANKALP (Skill Acquisition and Knowledge for Livelihood Promotion) in Delhi on Saturday.
Prof. B. S Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu was present at the inaugural event.
MGNF is a two-year Certificate Program in Public Policy and Management offered by the partner IIMs. It has been designed at the initiative of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India (GoI) and implemented in collaboration with State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs).
Designed under Skills Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion (SANKALP), the fellowship aims to boosting skill development at the district level. Proficiency in official language of state of fieldwork will be mandatory.
