JAMMU: Horizon Sports Club and Road Safety Cricket XI registered win in the ongoing T20 Christmas Celebrations Cup being organized by Sr. Cricketers/Members of Indian Cricket Association & KC Sports Club at KC Sports Club Ground, here on Friday.In the first match, Horizon Sports Club defeated the Game Changer Cricket Club by seven wickets.Batting first, Game Changer Cricket Club scored 105 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 16 overs. Hisham, Harsh and Yorawer Singh were the main scorers with 40, 20 and 14 runs respectively. For the bowling side, Paras Sharma took five wickets while Sampark grabbed three. In reply, Horizon Club chased the target in 13.3 overs for the loss of three wickets. Bandeep Singh played a match winning knock of 50 runs while Kaniya and Jatin contributed 19 and 16 runs respectively. For Game Changer Club, Aasad and Ankush took one wicket each. Bandeep Singh was adjudged as Man of the Match.In another match, Road & Safety XI defeated Sukhdev Cricket Academy by three wickets.Batting first Sukhdev Cricket Academy scored 102 runs for the loss of ten wickets in 16 overs with Ayush 20 and Ashank 12 runs. For Road & Safety XI, Rompy claimed five wickets while Majid and Dinesh took one each.In reply, Road & Safety XI chased the target in 15.1 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Rompy was the top scorer with unbeaten 52 runs. He was declared as Man of the Match.Today’s matches were officiated by Ashok, Sanju and Vijay.
