Vijaypur: Apni Party Provincial President Jammu and Former Minister Manjit Singh on Friday urged the Govt of India to hold dialogue with the protesting farmers in Delhi to end the ongoing stalemate.“Adopting adamant attitude will not benefit the Govt. It has added more troubles for them as well as for the people of the country who see farm laws as anti-farmers,” said Manjit Singh in his statement. The Former Minister was meeting party leaders and workers at Partap Singhpura village in Ramgarh, Vijaypur.Manjit Singh said that “The protest was organized so that the Govt could wake up and withdraw the farm laws being opposed by the farmers of all the states. If the issue is not resolved timely, the BJP has to pay for it in view of growing anger among the people.”He said that the farmers have also been demanding fixing of MSP. “If the industrialists can decide the price of their products, why has this right been denied to the farmers,” added Manjit Singh.Referring to the residents of International Border, he said that the bunkers were constructed in some villages. “All the extreme border villages are not provided bunkers because the contracts were not given their payments,” he said, and demanded that the payments of the contactors should be released so that bunker construction work can be resumed and all the families in the danger zone get protection using bunkers during cross border shelling. He also demanded compensation to farmers who have been allotted land ahead of the fence.“The farmers who have their land ahead of the fence should be given compensation by the Govt,” he demanded. On this occasion, many other issues were also discussed by the leaders and workers of the Party in the meeting which was organized by party leader Bachan Choudhary. The meeting was attended by leaders including Mohan Singh Batti, Sardar Nanak Singh, Capt Nanak Chand, Bhagwan Singh, Gudu Ram and others.
