High Court staff highlights long pending demands



JAMMU: An emergent meeting of Jammu & Kashmir High Court Staff was held, in the High Court premises in which a discussion was held regarding matters pending with High Court authorities and UT government of Jammu & Kashmir, regarding High Court staff.
During the meeting, the participants expressed resentment against the High Court authorities for not projecting long pending genuine demands of staff before the Chief Justice and UT Govt of J&K, regarding creation of different categories of posts, grant of ACP, providing of vehicles and other facilities commensurate with status for post of Registrars from High Court staff category as is being provided to other Class-I category officers, providing of proper accommodation to High Court staff, maintaining of proper hierarchy in the category of officers of the High Court Staff, filling-up of posts of Joint Registrar Computers from amongst computer staff, regularisation of daily wagers, providing proper quota of promotion to Class-IV category for the post of Junior Assistant etc.
The employees further said that that in case their genuine demands are not considered within a specified period, the High Court Staff would move on a mass casual leave. It was also decided that Executive Body of the Association would meet on 6th April, 2021, to chalk out further course of action.
