RAJOURI: Haricans Volleyball Club Bagnoti and Manjakote Volleyball Club lifted boys and girls championship trophies respectively in the District Rajouri Volleyball Championship which was organised by District Volleyball Association under the aegis of Volleyball Association of J&K at Government High School Palma, here.
In the boys’ final, Haricans Club defeated Dodaj Volleyball Club in straight sets of 25-18, 25-13, 25-17.
Kartik and Jamrod played well for the winners Haricans Club.
In girls section, Manjakote Volleyball Club outplayed Dangri Volleyball Club 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-13). Shabnam played match winning game for the Manjakote.
The technical panel comprised Khalid Hussain, Sidarat Hussain, Jamil, Shamim ul haq, Ayaz Ahmed, Mohd Kabir and Sajad Mujid.
In the finals, SSP Rajouri, Chandan Kholi was the Chief Guest, who presented winners and runners-up trophies as also other individual prizes.
He appreciated the role of district association, especially district incharge, Mohd Tariq.
He asked the participants to take active part in sports and asked them to follow the Saqlain Tariq, the achiever in Volleyball.
Among others present were DYSSO Rajouri, Yousaf Lone, Sikander Parvaiz (Retd DYSSO), Wali Mohd (ZPEO), Vinod Kumar (DySP Headquarters).
