Gupkar Gang saw window of opportunity to loot J&K: Anurag Thakur

STATE TIMES NEWS

JAMMU: Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir DDC elections, Anurag Singh Thakur, on Monday launched a scathing attacked on the Abdullah-Mufti led Gupkar Gang and said, “The Gupkar Gang saw a window of opportunity to loot J&K of its resources, while Mothers looked out the window waiting for Children to return. The eyes of windows waited in tears as their husbands never came back. The Gupkar Gang gave an inhuman and step-motherly treatment to the people, kept them in an atmosphere of fear, while they quietly looted the region at every possible opportunity.”
Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, Rajya Sabha MP Shamsher Singh Manhas, former MLA Dr. Krishna Lal and other BJP leaders were also present in the public meeting held in Khor, Pargwal. Thakur asked, “Why should the sons of daughters of J&K become victims of terror while Gupkar Gang family members live a life of luxury abroad? Why do they never talk about the human rights of the parents, children and youth of J&K.”
Thakur said, “The role of political parties is to serve people and their interests, the Abdullah – Mufti family served their self interest, used public money for personal gains and missed public office to benefit their family. The Gupkar Gang is an example of low level politics and self-entered leadership. They compromise on everything, they make deals and take decisions based on personal motives, ignoring public interest or peoples progress.”
Thakur went on to say, “Prime Minister Modi has set new benchmarks in public service and delivery of public schemes. Every single promise, every social initiative and every single rupee has reached the people. The BJP has shown zero tolerance for corruption and zero tolerance for terrorists and their supporters. We have secured the land, protected lives and created livelihoods for every India. We are determined to turnaround J&K into a region which every parent, every family, every youth and every local businessman is proud to call their home by putting this region on the super highway of growth.”
Thakur added, “The BJP is synonymous with development and taking decisions in national interest. The rising voter turnout in the last few phases shows democracy is vibrant and people are ready to decide their own future.”
