Govt has dumped PSGA: Sadhotra



JAMMU: Jammu & Kashmir Govt has dumped Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA) and common people are suffering a lot in absence of implementation of the same in letter & spirit, alleged Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, senior National Conference Leader and former Minister while addressing a public meeting at Kukerian in Marh assembly constituency. This pro people act was enacted during the then Government headed by Omar Abdullah, he said adding that this Act was enacted to bring transparency and put check on corruption and mitigate the problems of common man in a stipulated time.
It is unfortunate that present Govt has dumped PSGA and miseries of common people have increased many fold due to whimsical delay by the officers/officials dealing with day to day problems of the people, he said. Dumping of PSGA has also given flip to corruption and common people are disappointed & it has led to disconnect from the Govt., said NC leader.
He further alleged that common people have to go to offices again & again but get only disappointment. They suffer due to inordinate delay in getting their day to day works solved.
Sadhotra demanded to appoint highest level body for monitoring and implementation of PSGA without wasting time in order to mitigate the problems of common man.
Proper implementation of PSGA will give sense of belonging to the common people and put check on corruption, Sadhotra said adding that erring dealing people with day to day problems in the Govt need to be dealt stringently.
In the public meeting many youth from BJP joined National Conference and Sadhotra welcomed them in the party fold.
