Get unite to fight against anti-people policies of BJP Govt: Tara Chand

JAMMU: Launching a scathing attack on BJP, senior leader of Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) and former Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand said that people of Jammu & Kashmir have got affected a lot by economic crisis and other issues. “BJP government at the Center is misleading public on real issues to hide failures,” he said adding that because of BJP’s double politics there is restlessness across the country.
He was addressed a public meeting in Pargwal region of Chhamb assembly on Tuesday. Tara Chand called upon public to unite and fight against anti-people policies of BJP government. He said that due to the wrong policies of the Government, the people of Jammu & Kashmir are feeling restless and unemployment is at its peak. It is really unfortunate that Government is not paying attention towards grievances of people and only making fake assurances, but BJP’s promises will not change reality, he said. Taking on BJP government at the Center, Tara Chand said that it is not a Government of poor people but is a Government of Ambani and Adani. The poor people are finding it difficult even to lit stove as the price of LPG cylinder is Rs 900, he said adding that the prices of petrol, diesel are also touching sky, due to which inflation is increasing, making it difficult for general public to live. Tara Chand said that due to wrong policies of the Modi Government, the economy has become weak and inflation has gone out of control. The banks were not merged at time of Congress Government under Dr Manmohan Singh and economy was comparatively strong, he said adding that at that time price of crude oil was high in the international market but prices of petrol & diesel were low. Tara Chand said that BJP should learn a lesson from the Congress on how inflation is kept low.
Former Deputy Chief Minister, while addressing public, reminded BJP that the Prime Minister of the country had promised people of Jammu & Kashmir on the floor of the Parliament that he would return full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir. He appealed to the Prime Minister to fulfill his promise and return statehood to Jammu & Kashmir.
Tara Chand called on the party cadre to unite and fight against the anti-people policies of the government. He appealed to party workers to go to villages for listening to problems of the people and work to resolve them besides exposing wrong policies of Government. Let’s all work together for the betterment of people, he asserted.
