RAMNAGAR: An online essay writing competition on “Depression” was organised by the Psychological Counselling Cell (Coordinator), Government Degree College, Ramnagar on Saturday. The competition has been designed to develop student’s insight about depression as a major mental health concern. This initiative has been taken under the Psychological cum career counselling & Placement Cell (Manodarpan), Higher Education Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir. Students from various colleges of the Union territory participated in the event. Pretty Sharma, Radhika Thakur, Hari Om Abrol, from G.D.C Ramnagar,Rupashi Khajuria from GDC Kathua and Manik Kumar from G.C.E.T Jammu were considered as best essays in the competition. E-certificates were provided to all the participants.
The event was organized under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Udhey Bhanu, Principal, G.D.C Ramnagar who appreciated the efforts for organizing such an event. Prof. Divya Puri, H.O.D Psychology and Coordinator of Psychological Counselling Cell, G.D.C Ramnagarwas the convenor of the entireprogramme.
