GDC Ramgarh organises patriotic song competition

RAMGARH: To commemorate 75 years of India’s freedom struggle ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, Government Degree College Ramgarh organised a patriotic song competition on Saturday. The students sang beautiful and melodious patriotic songs. The students were full of enthusiasm and eager to show their talent. They prepared well for the competition and a wide range of patriotic songs were presented. The enthusiastic students were able to showcase their talent. All young maestros, who took part in the competition, were well appreciated by the Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol. She encouraged students that this type of competition was a platform for the students to acknowledge that the untouched potential of the students will lead them to the path of glory. The participants were judged by Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dr. Shamsher Lal and Prof. Risha Kumari. The participants were judged on three aspects, presentation, harmony and melody. The first position was clinched by Avinash Kour BA Sem-I, second position was secured by Amanpreet Kour and Aditi Bharti-B.A.Sem-I and third position was bagged by Priyanka Sharma and Shivani Bhagat B.A .SemI. The competition not only exposed the students to the world of music but also enhanced their confidence and presentation skills. This competition also developed feelings of patriotism among them for their country. The program was successfully conducted under the supervision of Prof. Seema Sharma, Incharge activities under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
