CHENANI: Govt. Degree College, Chenani organised a web talk under the aegis of its Placement Counseling Cell on ‘Personality Enhancement, Personal Grooming, Development of Body Language and Speaking Skills’ on 9th Dec. 2020. The resource person of the event was Mitali Gupta, a popular dietician, motivational speaker and radio/TV anchor in Jammu.The objective of the programme was to build self-confidence, enhance self-esteem and improve overall personality of the students. The College besides regular curriculum, extra-and co-curricular activities aims at grooming the students through sensitizing them about proper behavior, socially and professionally, in formal and informal circumstances and is striving to offer world-class training to hone their skills and improve their confidence.The resource person deliberated at length on the issues like personal development, basic etiquette, appropriate dressing for various occasions, communication skills, interview preparation, personal grooming, correct body postures and movements etc.Dr. Pragya Khanna, Principal of the College emphasized that in today’s world of cut throat competition, it is extremely crucial for one to stand out to be noticed. It is not only about the outstanding grades, it is also about the personality of an individual that decides his fate in the outside world. The College aims to equip its students with the right blend of Knowledge, Skills and Attitude which is the essential prerequisite for a good academic & professional life.
