GDC Budhal organises slogan-writing competition on blood donation



BUDHAL: The Red Ribbon Club in collaboration with NSS Unit of Government Degree College Budhal, Rajouri organized a college level Slogan Writing Competition on Blood Donation on Monday.
This Competition was organized under the aegis of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” India @ 75(Phase3).
The event was held under the patronage of Principal, Prof. Mohd Mazammal Hussain.
About 30 Students of the college enthusiastically participated in the competition and prepared slogans on blood donation highlighting this noval, selfless and life saving cause. The participants were adjudged by jury member Prof. Ajaz Ahmad HOD, History, Dr. Amarjeet Singh HOD, Punjabi and Dr. Syed Mohmad Javad HOD, Persian.
Among the participants Nazia Kouser, Adiba Kouser and Ulfat Farooq bagged first, second and third position respectively. The winners were awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 1000/-, Rs. 750/- and Rs. 500/ respectively.
Principal of the college encouraged all the participants and winners of the competition and exhorted them to be active participants in the activities of the college which would be organized in near future.
The event was organized by Dr. Daya Ram, Nodal Officer, Red Ribbon Club. Other faculty members, Prof. Mohd Farooq, Dr. Tajamul Islam, Dr. Sumyra Jeelani, Shashi Devi, Dr. Gowhar A Shapoo, Dr. Mohd Yaqoob Dar, Dr. Mohd Javaid, Abid Hussain and Mohd Alyas, Riya Bajral, Preeti Sharma were also present on the occasion.
