STATE TIMES NEWSAKHNOOR: Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of GDC Akhnoor in collaboration with Samarth Eldercare organised a webinar on the topic “National Helpline for senior Citizens” under the supervision of Principal Dr. Namarta. Rajiv Ranjan Dubey, Director of Samarth Eldercare Pvt. Ltd. and Subzar Ahmed Parray, Project Manager ,NHSC were the resource persons.They discussed about the various problems which the senior citizens face and emphasized about the importance of national helpline for elders. They gave a toll free No.14567 which will be activated after 15th of July in J & K. The webinar was attended by Dr. Anil Kumar, Prof. Kuldeep Kumar, Prof. D.N. Sharma, Prof. Pooja Devi and Prof. Shivani Sharma, students of B.A/B.Sc. Sem-IV & VI. The session was very interactive and lot of discussion took place about the well being of senior citizens.
