Gang of thieves busted; two arrested, 2 stolen vehicles recovered



JAMMU: Police on Tuesday busted a gang of thieves by arresting two thieves and recovered two stolen vehicles from their possession.
As per the details, several complaints were lodged at Police Station Bakshi Nagar regarding theft of vehicles, including an Auto (JK02AG 2426) from shopping complex at Sarwal and a tempo (JK01Q 2412), stolen from different locations. On this, two different cases vide FIR No. 60 and 63/21 under Section 379 of IPC were registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar.
On this, special teams of Police Station Bakshi Nagar under supervision of SDPO West Amit Sharma were constituted. The team led by SHO Bakshi Nagar Insp Ravi Kant assisted by Incharge Police Post Sarwal SI Yougal Kishore with help of CCTV footages of the area and other technical aid, finally rounded up two suspects namely Harish alias Happy, son of Raghuvir Lal, resident of Green Enclave Rehari and Shakir, son of Mohd Aslam, resident of Bathindi. During sustained questioning, the accused confessed their involvement in crimes and on their disclosure both stolen vehicles were recovered from their possession.
