FOB Rajouri, GDC Nowshera organise integrated communication & outreach programme

Nowshera: As part of ongoing Intensive Communication & outreach Programmes, Field Outreach Bureau, Rajouri in collaboration with Government Degree College, Mowshera organised special publicity activities to aware masses about the history of India’s Independence besides promoting Vaccination & Covid Appropriate Behavior.
The day long programmes were organized under the chairmanship of Dr. Surinder Kumar Sharma, Principal of the host Institute. On this Occasion a Quiz Contest for 4 teams of the College comprising of two students each was organized. About 60 Questions related to Pre and post Independence era with special emphasis to Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav were put to students to spread the awareness of India’s Independence history followed by Patriotic songs and Poetry by students and faculty members. In the Quiz Team A comprised of Akanksha Gupta and Sanjana Sharma, Team B consisted of Nihanika Gupta and Shiv priya Sharma, Team C comprised of Bhanu Sharma and Dishant Dutta while Team D comprised of Nasreen Akhter and Rishabh Kapoor. were adjudged first, second , third and fourth respectively in terms of meerit
Speaking on this occasion Dr. Surinder Kumar Sharma highlighted the objective and aim of celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and importance of such programmes in inculcating the spirits of National Unity among younger generation. He also spoke on various aspects of Aatam Nirbhar Bharat, Covid Appropriate Behaviour, and important contributions made by unsung heros of freedom and freedom fighters in attaining the Independence from British Rule.
Dr. Chander Prakash,. Medical officer, SDH, Nowshera who acted as resource person delivered a key note address on COVID Vaccination and CAB with special emphasis on Omicron variant. He also urged the participants to spread the awareness of COVID Appropriate Behavior to contain its further spread.
Later an Announcement Van on Covid vaccination & CAB was flagged off by Shri Raju Samyal, Tehsildar, Nowshera in presence of Dr. Surinder Kumar Sharma, Principal, Dr. Chander Prakash, Prof. Joginder Singh, Prof. Rajat Bhardhwaj, Dr. Akhil Khajuria and various students of the College. The announcement van which was flagged off from Government Degree College, Nowshera passed thrpugh main bazaar and adjoining vicinity of Nowshera Town.
