Five-member SIT formed in Palvee Gupta death case

SAMBA: Five member Special investigation team (SIT) has been constituted to probe Palvee Gupta suspicious death case. The SIT headed by DySP Hqr Samba Tilak Raj Bhardwaj consists of Inspector Rajesh Jasrotia, SHO Samba, SI Meenu Sharma, IC/PP SIDCO, Sl Karnail Singh, IC/PP Supwal and HC Jagdish Raj P/S Samba as members.
According to the order issued by SSP Samba, the SIT head shall ensure impartial and expeditious investigation of Palvee Gupta suspicious death case and take the same to its logical conclusion in the interest of justice. “The progress achieved be furnished to this office on day to day basis for proper monitoring,” SSP’s order states.
The victim Palvee Gupta, wife of Abhishek Badyal, resident of Ward No 8, Bantalab Samba was found dead in her house and was shifted to hospital where doctors declared her as brought dead. Meanwhile parents of the victim alleged that Palvee has been murdered by her husband Abhishek Badyal and his family members for which they have sufficient evidences. After conducting preliminary investigation under Section 174 RPC, Samba police has registered FIR 5/2021 under section 304-B IPC against Abhishek Badyal and his family members. All the accused are in police custody.
