There is no denying the fact that home is the first school of citizenship and the mother is the first teacher and educator.
Before the child is admitted in the school to get formal education, he is educated by the mother in the family.
The interactions of the child with the mother at the home are very important and form the base of the child’s personality.
A child learns from womb to tomb.
The habits are formed in the home which forms the personality of the individual in the later years through the proper modification of the behaviour of the child in the school.
The first impressions and the interaction between the mother and the child are of paramount importance which helps the child in his formative years in home and later in the school.
The first impressions are lifelong and cannot be erased from the child’s personality.
The qualities of the citizenship are imparted to the child by the mother in the home which is later on moulded by the schooling.
Therefore one can say that it is the home where the habits are formed and the good qualities of citizenship are imparted to the child.
So it should be appreciated that the home is the place where the child is first imparted the values of the life by his or her mother and such values and qualities form the corner stone of the child s personality.
Thus it should be noted that the child is trained in the home by the mother and she prepares the child for the school and so it can be said that the informal education in the home in the early stage of the child’s life helps him a lot and makes him fit to learn in the school in the later years.
Therefore we can say that the home is the training ground for the child which trains him for the life and helps in acquiring the qualities of the citizenship.
All the good qualities of citizenship are imparted to the child in the home by mother, who is the first teacher of a child.
The place of the mother for the child is very important and it is enviable and cannot be taken or assumed by anyone else.
The art of citizenship is mastered by child first in the home and later in the school but the qualities imparted in the home are the foundations and remain lifelong in the individuals personality.
In fact, home is the place where the child is given the early education and all the qualities imparted become the bedrock of the child’s life and personality.
