Family postpones protest after receiving call from arrested farmer leader

JAMMU: Family members of farmer leader Mohinder Singh deferred proposed protest call after they talked with him over phone. Mohinder Singh was arrested by Delhi Police from Jammu in connection with 26 January violence case, after which family and other farmers staged protest on Tuesday and blocked Jammu-Pathankot highway at Satwari.
Mohinder Singh talked to his wife, Tirath Kour and brother Surinder Singh Khalsa and informed them he is safe and secure and has not been beaten up by police. After talking with him over phone, the family postponed protest call.
