Gulchain Singh Charak, the Former Minister, President Dogra Sadar Sabha and Chairman, Dogra Sahayata Kendra on Monday handed over the SOP Kits containing masks, sanitizer, soaps and a pamphlet ( containing all the information & Help line numbers issued by the U.T. Administration and Dogra Sahayata Kendra ) to the members of the Bari Brahamana Unit of DSK led by Chhankar Singh, Jagdeep Singh and Madhu Charak, Sarpanch, for distributing the same amongst the people of the area and to create awareness for following strictly the COVID19 protocols i.e. frequent hand washing when returning home from outside, keeping 6 ft distance in public places and avoid visiting the crowded areas. Further members of the Bari Brahamana Unit of DSK were advised to encourage the people of their area for availing the facilities being provided by the U.T. Administration and Dogra Sahayata Kendra.The members of the Bari Brahamana Unit were also requested to keep watch on all the facilities being provided by the Administration in the Villages and bring into the notice of the Dogra Sahayata Kendra, if there is any deficiency or lack of proper management in providing medical help to the needy people.Charak said that the report from the sub unit of the Samba District also revealed that the Covid Care Centers opened in various Panchayats especially, in the remote areas were not properly manned by trained staff and many of them had no arrangements for providing oxygen to patients. He urged the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, to direct the concerned Administrative and Health Authorities to equip the Covid Care Centers in all Panchayats, especially in far flung areas, adequately with oxygen facilities and trained staff, to meet any eventuality, so that precious lives of the people in these areas can be saved.Charak further informed the members about the Ambulance service being provided by the DSK. Besides many COVID19 patients are being referred by the Health Authorities to Govt. Medical College, Jammu for specialized treatment, who are accompanied by their Attendants. To cater to the requirements of food for these Attendants, Dogra Sahayata Kendra has come forward to provide them packed food in as many numbers as and when required by the Attendants.Following were present on the occasion Col.
