Drug peddler nabbed with 2 Kg contraband

Kathua: Police on Thursday apprehended a notorious drug peddler near Railway Station Kathua and seized contraband from his possesion.
As per details, a team from Industrial Estate Kathua led by Insp Yash Paul Sharma under supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua, Shammi Kumar, while on Naka checking duty near Railway Station Kathua, observed a suspicious person namely Ramesh Yadav, son of Suresh Yadav, resident of Sivon, Ramgain Domanpur, Uttar Pradesh who was directed to stop for checking. During his search, the said team recovered 2 packets of Ganja (Cannabis), 1 Kg each from his possession. Police seized the recovered material and arrested the accused. A FIR vide No 250/2021 under Section 8/20 of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kathua and further investigation in the case is going on.
