JAMMU: Police has arrested a drug peddler and recovered 2,766 intoxicating capsules and tablets from his possession. As per details, a team from Police Station Gandhi Nagar, under overall supervision of Gurnam Singh SHO, during checking duty intercepted a person moving on a vehicle bearing registration No JK02BS-0760.
During checking, a total of 2,496 Spasmo-Proxyvon Plus capsules and 270 Nitravet-10 tablets were recovered from his possession.
The accused, identified as Parveen Sharma, son of Late Mohan Lal Sharma, resident of House No 163/1, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, was arrested on the spot and a case vide FIR No. 205/2020 under Sections 8, 21 & 22 of NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar. Further investigation is going on in the matter.
