STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU: The former Deputy Chief Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader, Kavinder Gupta has castigated National Conference President and former Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Dr Farooq Abdullah for parroting the demand of restoration of Statehood to Jammu & Kashmir and Articles 370, 35-A. He stated this while addressing gathering after inaugurating a medical camp in ward No 3, Lower Mastgarh area as Chief Guest. Corporator of Ward No 3, Narottam Sharma was also present during the camp, which was attended by a number of people from Mastgarh, Peer Mitha, Jain Bazaar, Circular Road, Peer Kho, Dhakki Sarajan and other adjoining areas.Responding to statement of Dr Farooq Abdullah issued while addressing provincial committee members the other day in which he had said, ‘Our priority will remain the restoration of Statehood and Articles 370 and 35-A,’ the former Deputy Chief Minister said that Farooq Abdullah is living in a fools’ paradise and is daydreaming about restoration of Articles 370 and 35-A, as the same are gone once for all. Such statement by a former Chief Minister is indeed a matter of serious concern that deserves full condemnation, he added. Kavinder said that abrogation of Article 370 was main demand of people of J&K that had been over due and BJP has fulfilled this long pending demand. He said that the aforesaid articles always acted as hurdles in path of progress and development of the erstwhile state of J&K.While appreciating Corporator Narottam Sharma for his sincere efforts in resolving people’s issues, Kavinder assured people that all their pending issues shall soon be taken up with concerned authorities.
