UDHAMPUR: Kalpvriksh-2020, the Art & Craft fest, an inter school drawing and craft competition under the banner of Jammu Sahodaya Complex Jammu chapter was organized virtually at Delhi Public School (DPS) Udhampur.More than 20 schools from in and around Jammu participated in the competition.Pramaod Srivastava Principal MIER Academy School Jammu and President Sahodya Schools Complex Jammu was the Chief Guest and Dr. J.C Gupta Pro Vice Chairman DPS Udhampur was the Guest of Honour.Other dignitaries present were Vivek Gupta (Managing Director DPS Udhampur), Dr. Kunal Anand (Principal DPS Udhampur and General Secretary Jammu Sahodya Schools Complex), Vikesh Kaur (Principal Doon International and PRO Sahodya Schools Complex Jammu,), K.C.S Mehta (Director/Principal IDPS Akhnoor), K.L Dogra (Principal MV International, Treasurer Sahodya Schools Complex Jammu), Anil Pathania (Principal JK Public School Kathua, TSO Jammu Sahodya Schools Complex), Seema Negi (Principal Sanjeevni World School Mumbai) and Rachna Bhimrajka (CEO Fun2learn).The programme started with the traditional ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Pro Vice Chairman DPS Udhampur, who after that declared the “Art and Craft” Fest open .A scintillating cultural performance of the students was applauded by all the students, teachers and dignitaries.Dr. J.C Gupta said that there are so many creative professions and art is one of them where one can reflect their feelings and creativity on paper.Colours not just add brightness on the paper, but colors and paintings depict moods and give you freedom to explore new avenues, he said adding that students should be exposed to various activities so that their overall personality is groomed. He congratulated all the teachers that during this pandemic time teachers and students participated in this On Line Fest and made it successful.The Chief Guest Pramod Srivastava stated that he was awestruck by the performance of the kids and how well the event was integrated with art education.He congratulated the Principal Dr. Kunal Anand for such a well coordinated event.All the dignitaries who joined from Jammu and Mumbai were full of praises for the dance performance given by the kids as well as the art and Craft work done by the participants.Dr. Kunal Anand thanked the team of his educators, stakeholders and students along with the management for their constant support and being there whenever required.
