STATE TIMES NEWSKATHUA: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer on Wednesday conducted an extensive tour of Kathua district and chaired a public grievances camp at village Mangtian Block Barnoti and listened to people’s issues.He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Yadav; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua; concerned SDM, BDO, Tehsildar, besides functionaries of JPDCL, Jal Shakti, PWD and other concerned.A large number of people including BDCs Chairperson, Sarpanches/ Panches and locals from adjoining panchayats of the Block raised issues of public importance.The PRIs, Public sought blacktopping of roads, Health facilities, augmentation water supply and Power infrastructure, KV School, development of water bodies, Play Ground and other issues of public concern.The Div Com gave a patience hearing to all the deputations, individuals and issued on the spot directions to the concerned departments for timely redress of the projected issues. He assured the PRIs and Public that all the genuine demands would be met on priority. The concerned officers informed that the most of issues raised by public are being addressed and others would get resolved under languishing projects, PMDP and other government funded schemes.
