KUPWARA: District Volleyball Association on Tuesday organised a District Volleyball Championship at Villagam Kupwara.
The Inaugural match was played between two balanced sides Villagam and Wayoosa. It was a good fighting contest and players of Wayoosa kept their nerves and won the match by 2:1.
This inaugural ceremony was headed by ZEO Villagam Javid Iqbal and Guest of Honour Principal Higher Secondary School Villagam Aalam Din while SHO Villagam Sulaiman, Teachers Forum President zone Villagam Sahil Bashir and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion.
The sole motive of organising such events was to provide a platform to youth to showcase their talent. Volleyball Association Kupwara has already taken initiatives to reach out far-flung areas and in future we promise to carry it on.
