SRINAGAR: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday registered a case against a Rural Development Department (RDD) employee of Kashmir for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets.An official of ACB said that some allegations were made that one Mohabbat Ali Khan, a Junior Assistant in RDD, is in possession of disproportionate assets and has indulged in business activities, while in active Government service. “Accordingly, a case was registered on basis of a verification conducted by ACB. Verification revealed that the aforesaid public servant has accumulated huge assets beyond his known source of income in the shape of immovable properties in his name as well as in the name of his family members,” he said.Subsequently, he added, FIR No 08/2021 under sections 5 (1)(e) read with 5 (2) of PC Act Smvt-2006 and Section 168 of RPC was registered in Police Station ACB Baramulla. “During investigation, search warrants were obtained from Anti-Corruption Court Baramulla,” he said adding that in pursuance to Court order, searches of residential/commercial premises of Mohabbat Ali Khan at Hyhama Kupwara, Srinagar, Jammu and Hot Mix Plant (M/s National Infra Construction Company) Gutlipora, Kupwara were conducted. “Further investigation in the case is going on in the matter,” he added.
