JAMMU: The ongoing chain hunger strike of employees of Dharmarth Trust entered third day on Wednesday. Despite harsh chilly weather, a large number of employees including Pujaries of all temples under Dharmarth Trust assembled at Ranbireshwar Temple and raised slogans against Dharmarth Trust management for not fulfilling their demands despite continuous protest from last 30 days. Besides other issues, employees are demanding constitution of Board for all the temples under Dharmarth Trust on pattern of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.Hundreds of employees including priests from various units of the trust such as Shri Raghunath Mandir, Hari Bhawan Purmandal, Uttar Behani, Birpur and Central Office Karan Bhawan, Sudh Mahadev also participated in the protest. “We shall continue our agitation till fulfilling of our demands by management,” Working President, Rajender Shastri asserted. Those who sat on chain hunger strike included Pt Parshotam Sharma, Kundan Lal, Pt Sandeep, Pt Tilak Raj, Pt Madan, Rajni Devi, Raj Kumar, Satpal, Ram Rattan and Pt Vinod Kumar. The employees association further decided to launch the signature campaigning to garner the support of the public in ongoing agitation. Others present were ex-President Th Karnail Chand, ex-General Secretary Pritam Sharma, Surjeet Singh, Parshotam Sharma, Ram Paul Sharma, Jagjeet Chand, Anil Sharma, Balwant Shastari, Harbans Shastari, Madan Sharma, Kundan Lal, Subash Shastri, Rakesh Shastari, Rekha Devi, Bandana Devi, Vimal Khajuria, Bablu Kumar, Pt Ashwani Kumar, Sat Paul Pandit, Rajesh Kulkarni, Sagar Singh, Bhikham Singh, Sahil Sharma, Ravinder Singh Jamwal (Akhnoor), Pt Babu Bishambar Lal, Pt Raj Kumar (Suchetgarh), Karun Goswami (Nagrota), Reeta Slathia, Raj Kumari, Leela Devi, Sheetal, Rajani, Shobha, Nisha, Rajender Shastri (Working President), Brij Mohan, Sagar Singh, Rakesh Singh, Sonali Khajuria and Sneh Handa.
