JAMMU: In view of ensuing Mahashivratri festival, the Dharmarth Trust employees, who are on protest for last 95 days and chain hunger-strike for the last 68 days, started cleaning of all temples in Shri Raghunath Temple premises on Friday.“In view of Mahashivratri festival, we have decided to postpone our strike from March 10 to 12 however, a gradual chain hunger strike will continue,” President of Dharmarth Trust Employees Association (DTEA), Vivek Bandral told reporters. “It was also decided to shift chain hunger strike venue from front side of Shri Ranbireshwar Temple complex to backside of temple,” she said.She further said that due to over three months long agitation, the cleaning of temples could not be done in a phased manner, as such all the employees have started cleaning the temples together.“We are Hindu and understand the importance of festivals very much,” she added. “All employees have been assigned duties,” she said and exuded confidence that no devotee will face any kind of trouble during the grand festival.Meanwhile, those who sat on chain hunger strike include Mohan Lal, Dev Raj, Balwant, Kewal, Ashwani Kumar, Bhikham, Pt Rajesh Kumar, Pt Vinod Sharma and Pt Vikas SharmaThose who attended the cleanliness drive included Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Subash, Pt Parshotam, Pt Brijmohan Sharma, Pt Om Parkash, Pt Rampal, Pt Balwant Shastri, Vimal Khajuria, Sat Paul, Pawan, Deepu, Rinku, Makhnu, Jivan, Bushan, Sonali, Renu, Anju, Sheetal, Sonika, Sukeshni, Rita Salathia, Rekha, Ritu Devi, Harbans Lal, Surjeet Singh Slathia, Parshotam Sharma, Ram Paul Sharma, Jagjeet Chand, Sahil Sharma, Pt Babu Bishambar Lal, Raj Kumari, Leela Devi, Sheetal, Ritu Rajput, Jyoti, Sheela Devi, Savita Jamwal, Kanchan, Rajni, Nisha and Sonika.
