DGPC for rectifications in electoral rolls



JAMMU: District Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee (DGPC) Jammu has appealed to Sikh voters for coming forward to make necessary rectifications, if any, in electoral rolls for ensuing DGPC elections.
In a press conference held on Tuesday, General Secretary DGPC Jammu, Fateh Singh said that rectification of voter-lists has been taken in hand by Election Department since Mar 27, 2021 and will continue up to April 7, 2021 with last date for disposal of claims being April 13, 2021. He further said that voters can approach concerned managers of their constituencies for corrections. He also disclosed that managers of DGPC Jammu have been deputed in all Gurdwaras to assist and guide voters, for smooth completion of correction process.
He further informed that Khalsa Sajna Diwas ‘Baisakhi’ will be celebrated by organising a Mahan Gurmat Samagam on April 13, 2021 from 10 AM to 2 PM at Gurdwara Sri Guru Nanak Dev, Chand Nagar, Jammu. He urged all devotees to take part in Baisakhi Samagam.
Other office bears of DGPC present on the occasion included Jathedar Mohinder Singh, Fateh Singh, Avtar Singh Khalsa, Manmohan Singh Khalsa, Ramnik Singh and Mohinder Singh.
