POONCH: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Rahul Yadav on Monday chaired a meeting with the concerned officers to review the implementation of the women centric schemes in the district.The meeting was attended by DPO ICDS, Dr. Mohd. Tanveer; ACD Rajesh Lakhan; District Social Welfare Officer, Shakeel Ahmed; DPO, Israr Mir; CMO, Ghulam Ahmed Mir; CDPO, Jahangir Khan; Women welfare officer Priya Sharma; District Coordinator, Tirath Kour and Nooreen Akhter besides all concerned officers.At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the performance of different stakeholders of the scheme in achieving the set targets. A number of schemes related to women welfare and the issues pertaining to them including BBBP, MSK, ICDS etc were discussed threadbare in the meeting.While speaking at the meeting, the DDC stressed upon the concerned officers to take all possible measures to ensure that all the vital schemes and programmes related to women and their upliftment in the society are properly and effectively implemented to enable them to get access to all the benefits being provided by the Government.The DDC directed the all concerned officers to prepare the calendar of activities in accordance with approved District Action Plan 2020-21.The DDC emphasized on the importance of government schemes and directed the concerned officers to generate mass awareness among women about these schemes.
