JAMMU: Acting on directions of Yogesh Sawhney, General Secretary JKPCC and Incharge District President Jammu (Urban), the District Congress Committee (DCC) Jammu East convened a meeting to discuss various issues and preparations for ensuing programmes on Tuesday. The meeting was chaired by Chander Shekhar Sharma and Atul Sharma, General Secretary DCC Jammu- Urban and Incharge Jammu East Constituency.During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held for strengthening party in constituency at grass-root level. Necessary preparations for ensuing programmes including holding ‘Satyagraha’ on Indira Gandhi’s death Anniversary to mark Kissan Adhikar Diwas were also discussed.Speaking on occasion, Chandra Shekhar Sharma directed various office-bearers of their duties and responsibilities in planning for various upcoming programs to be organised by the Congress party across the nation. Furthermore, he outlined a general strategy for party members to consolidate party’s support base in Jammu East Constituency by working at grass-root level. “Ground level workers can play an integral role in upcoming programmes,” he said.Atul Sharma also urged workers to expand grass-root base of party to bolster the party in Jammu East.Others present on the occasion included Madan Malager, Jyoti Vaid, Ritu Choudhary, Mohi-ud-din Choudhary, Anand Gandotra, Sushant Gupta, Gurmeet Singh, Parvindar Kaur, Raj Kumar Sodi, Ram Magotra, Hardavinder Singh, Munish Sharma and Amir.
