Darsu, Upper Gudar residents seek transport service

UDHAMPUR: A deputation of residents of village Darsu and upper Gudar led by councilor Priti Khajuria and Ashwani Khajuria called on ARTO Udhampur on Saturday and apprised him about problems being faced by the local people due to non availability of Matador service to their villages.
Priti appraising ARTO Udhampur Jugal Kishore Sharma about non availability of matador service lead to their villages. She said people have to cover distance of about 5km by on foot despite having proper road stretch. She said in case of emergency or criticality people used to face very hard situation and being victimized due to non passenger services. She further said that hundered of people from adjoining Panchayats also have no option other than use this road.
She added that local administration did not pay any attention towards this issue. Ashwani Khajuria also urged the ARTO to ensure immediate Matador services on these villages so that people can get relief. ARTO Jugal Kishore Sharma assured to press matador into service on priority.
